Fantastic meet for Lockie, Emil and Zac!

In May we had three Greymouth High School students representing Greymouth attending the New Zealand Division II Swimming Championships held in Dunedin.

Emil Fischer, Lockie Oliver and Zac Gallant were all in attendance and were part of a group of five swimmers representing the the Greymouth Amateur Swim Club.

Across the board all the boys stepped up with some awesome results with Emil competing in the U14 category, Lochie and Zac in the U13s category.

Emil Fischer:

  • 2nd in the 200m Breaststroke
  • 3rd in the 100m Breaststroke

Zac Gallant also impressed in all his swims earning himself some excellent personal bests in freestyle and butterfly against some very tough competition.

Along with their individual achievements Emil, Lockie and Zac were also part of the Greymouth relay team. This is the first time a Greymouth team had been entered at a National Level which is an outstanding achievement for our boys.

Congratulations on an excellent performance team!
