At Greymouth High School, we’re proud to be part of the Toki Pounamu cluster, working closely with many of our contributing primary schools to make digital learning smooth and consistent for our students. This means that from primary through to secondary, your child has a familiar way of learning with technology, building confidence and skills along the way.
Through the Toki Pounamu Trust, every student has the opportunity to access a Chromebook for learning. The trust is non-profit and makes devices more affordable by offering interest-free weekly payments over two years (or three years, by negotiation), including insurance and extended warranty.
Your Chromebook includes a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects and a Device Care Plan providing cover for accidental damage, theft and loss (further details available on Toki Pounamu Website). You must opt into this benefit, which will ensure that any disruption to your child’s Chromebook availability is minimised.
All of our students use Chromebooks, supported by Fusion, our ICT partner. If a Chromebook is damaged or needs repair, it can be taken to the school library, where a loan device will be provided while it’s being fixed. Loan devices must be treated responsibly and returned when requested.
